Full Time Events Manager

Job Description


They will mainly be responsible for the following tasks:

Plan and organise promotional, business, community, and social events. They will be responsible for running a range of events, ensuring the target audience is engaged and the message of the event is marketed properly. Events play a huge part in the success of a brand, organisation or individual clients.

As an event manager, they will organise conferences, seminars, exhibitions, as well as parties, weddings, networking events, as well as social and corporate incentive trips and social functions.


They will manage the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation. The role is primarily hands-on and will often involve working as part of a team. 


The event managers will typically organise and run business and social events specific to the clients’ needs and wants. They will also when required be able to source suitable venues, advertise the planned events and perform additional tasks necessary to run an event smoothly and end it successfully. 


As an event manager, they will need to:

  • liaise      with clients to find out their exact event requirements
  • produce      detailed proposals for events (including timelines, venues, suppliers,      legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
  • research      venues, suppliers and contractors, then negotiate prices and hire
  • manage      and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue,      catering, travel)
  • liaise      with sales and marketing teams to publicise and promote the event (for our      business/corporate clients)
  • manage      all pre-event planning, organising guest speakers and delegate packs
  • coordinate      suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event      to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget
  • manage      a team of staff, giving full briefings
  • organise      facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid,      hospitality and if applicable the media
  • make      sure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed
  • oversee      the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently
  • produce      post-event evaluation to inform future events
  • research      opportunities for new clients and events

As an event manager, they may often work with many clients in a wide range of industries. Whilst the requirements may differ from one job to another, their responsibilities mainly stay the same. It's important to offer all our clients consistent service.


Salary Offered: £26,500 per annum dependant on experience.


Working Hours: 40 - 44 hours a week

Collaborate with the event manager and allocated team, as well as the following:

 

  • Understanding the requirements of clients and coming up with innovative ideas for events
  • Establishing and agreeing upon important parameters, such as budgets and timeframes
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Researching suppliers and contractors and negotiating favourable deals
  • Providing clients or management with regular updates
  • Coordinating activities on the day of an event and implement back-up plans when necessary
  • Performing post-event evaluation and documenting findings
  • Managing post-event activities, such as the cleaning of venues and the payment of suppliers
  • Attending community functions to network and identify potential opportunities


Salary Offered: £26,500 per annum dependant on experience.
